campus misc

As a student at BYU, I had two part-time graphic design positions. I worked for the Education in Zion Gallery. This was a new permanent exhibition museum and art space for artifacts about the history of Brigham Young University. It is one of the most formal spaces on campus.

After Eve Exhibition
I worked with the curator to design the space and determine where the artwork should be located within the gallery space. I created many graphic promotional materials for this event. We had posters in the gallery, around campus, at the library, and in local newspapers.

 Lobby Signage
I designed a series of posters to be placed in the lobby to educate and encourage people to go up the stairs and visit the gallery. This included a map of the gallery, a poster with an explanation, and various photographs from the gallery's permanent collection.

I also worked for Human Resource Development which covered the campus health and wellness program, professional consulting, and online training. I created materials for all three of these departments. Some of this work has been categorized into the site, but this page has a variety of both digital and print work.

Blurbs
On the Wellness website for Brigham Young University, there is a space for what we call a "blurb." Our supervisor chose a theme each month and we found photos to represent the idea. They are small advertisements to promote health and wellness on campus and change every time the webpage is refreshed. The first image is how they look on the site with one of my blurbs. Then I have included images of blurbs that I created.

Fliers
The process to create a flier was very similar to a blurb. Here is a sampling of the fliers I created.
They were all printed black and white on quarter sheets of paper.

Online Training Christmas Card
As an online training consultant I helped people figure out a concept and design their online training module. We would sit down with a client and talk to them about their goals and the best way to structure an entertaining and informative experience for the user. To do this we would take any topic and break it down into a step-by-step process. For our department Christmas card, I wanted to capture the step-by-step process of changing a car into a flying sleigh. I kept the illustrations simple because I wanted them to look like we were just brainstorming on a white board.

Human Resource Services Christmas Program
For the annual Christmas program, the secretaries of the department came up with the theme "A Few of Our Favorite Things." I created invitations, a recipe book and a program for the event. The first image is the recipe book, the second is the cover of the program.
